Lungomare Canepa, Alderman Fanghella: “Working 24/7 to complete the renewed road within September

The alderman in charge of
road maintenance and public constructions of Genoa municipality, Paolo
Fanghella, is imposing tight schedules for the completion of works which
will allow to dramatically
reduce traffic congestion in the western part of the City.
“The
contractors are working 3 shifts per day and as from yesterday night
lightening was activated over the construction. Tonight the traffic will
be diverted to one side only of the road to allow
workers to carry out their job on the southern roadway. The renewed
road – underlines Fanghella – will be fully opened by the end of
September with 5 straight lanes without any obstruction or obstacle. We
really hope this will help a lot to decongest the traffic
in this part of the city which has suffered major issues since Morandi
bridge collapsed.”
