Update on rail connections for the port of Genoa

In the wake
of the collapse of the Morandi viaduct, the detritus from which has blocked
some of the connecting lines for the port of Genoa, the following is an up to
date snapshot of the situation, which confirms the full operation of the Prà basin
railway and the interruption to rail traffic for the Sampierdarena basin.
Genoa-Ovada-Acqui
line, usable from Prà via Voltri – Borzoli link road [excluding hazardous goods]
Genoa-Arquata
line (Storica or Direttissima) and Branch Line via Mignanego passable from
Principe – Bivio Granarolo
Submarine
line connecting Genoa Sampierdarena Smistamento freight marshalling yard with
the port basin – blocked at Sampierdarena Smistamento
Bastioni line
and Subsidiary line between the port basin and Torbella quadrivium – blocked by
the collapse of the bridge

Marittima – Campasso line: blocked by the works of the Genoa Railway Node
